CNC Turning & Milling

The turning and milling work starts with programming of the custom parts for our machines. The required material is purchased and cut to the right sizes in our sawing department. We then ensure the machine is equipped with the correct cutting tools for the job and we start the production of the custom batch.

CAD / CAM

We work with the software TopSolid 7 and OneCNC to program the turning and milling work. Customers often provide us with their own CAD drawing, which we load into our software, program and send to our CNC machines with Fanuc operating system.

What do you need to provide for CNC production? Check our providing specifications page.

Tolerances

Measurements up to one µm accuracy fall within the possibilities. Please provide your specifications when making an inquiry. Please hold into account that the tolerance options are more limited when for example the surface treatment anodizing is necessary.

Machining

After the material for your order has been purchased, cut to the right sizes in our sawing department and the product has been programmed by us, we start turning and milling. When necessary, deburring work will be done as well.

Turning

With cnc turning the product is fixed in a clamp, in which it will be turned around. Trough cutting tools the product is machined in the right shape. Mostly cylinders, disc and rods with simple grooves and screw thread are machined on our lathes.

Milling

With cnc milling the product is fixed as well, but this time in a static clamp. The product itself will not move during milling. With a milling machine, the cutting tools will turn around to machine the product in the right shape. The number of axles of the milling machine represent the number of sides the product can be adjusted by means of one fixture. The milling bed, on which the clamp is mounted, can move with a 4 or 5 axle machine so the product is tilt to multiple sides. Complex products are therefore often made on a 5-axle machine.

Multitask

With multitask machines, both turning as milling operations can be performed. With this, complex parts can be machined with only one machine and one fixture. We make our most complex and otherwise time-consuming jobs on our multitask machines.

Deburring

When necessary, the parts are deburred manually or with the help of a small drill or sanding belt machine. This way our customers receive 100% ready parts from us. For these deburring proceedings we even furnished a special corner in our factory. In some cases we even use rotary vibrators for deburring and egde radiusing.

During machining our employees have access to all kinds of measuring equipment to make sure the parts are produced to the right specifications. We also have a central tool storage in our machine park, so we have the right cutting tools for every job at hand.

Custom parts

What happens after the machining?

If there are no surface treatments necessary, then the parts are ready after machining and will be assembled if needed and packed to requirements and delivered as agreed to.

If surface treatments are required, we’ll arrange for the machined parts to be outsourced without our own network of suppliers. In-house we can do laser marking and pin-engraving. After the treatments, the parts will be assembled if needed and packed by us and delivered as agreed.
